ScanAps Electronic Coupon Clearing Solution

ScanAps introduces a complete Electronic Coupon Clearing (ECC) solution for all coupons (paper coupons, online coupons, mobile coupons, in-store coupons, electronic coupons and coupons scanned into coupon scanner) in real time at POS. ScanAps ECC software validates and clears all coupons in real time at POS. ScanAps validates all coupons prior to redemption. ScanAps matches every coupon to the customer who redeemed it, what product was purchased with the coupon, the cash receipt #, store #, POS #, the date, the time and the cashier who handled the transaction.

ScanAps is an independent third party solutions provider that guarantees every coupon redeemed thru its system. ScanAps has developed a two tier validation system. If an ‘Offer Registry’ is available, then ScanAps ECC software validates using this ‘offer registry’. If not, ScanAps uses a ‘family code’ database for validation. An ‘offer registry’ is a list of all coupons dropped by a manufacturer identifying the specific products that apply for each coupon.

ScanAps eliminates the manual, error prone, labor intensive clearing process and significantly reduces coupon processing fees. ScanAps improves accuracy and reliability of coupon redemption data and saves over $300M in coupon fraud and mis-redemptions. Further, ScanAps offers online reporting solutions for manufacturers and retailers to review coupon redemptions by store, manufacturer, region, offer codes and dates in real time.

Under the ScanAps system, retailers ship their paper coupons, along with their daily/weekly ECC reports, to the ScanAps central warehouse. ScanAps saves these paper coupons for a certain time period and then shred them. ScanAps will not open the envelopes, process, scan or count them. Manufacturers and retailers have an opportunity to audit these paper coupons and ECC reports for a certain time period. No more manual scanning, counting or processing these paper coupons.
