The Coupon Scanner Process
 The process begins when a supermarket distributes ScanAps Personal Coupon Scanner to a registered shopper.
Shoppers just scan the barcodes from any printed coupon by the push of a button. It's that simple. They don't have to cut, clip, sort, save, make a mess in the house or remember to carry paper coupons to the store.
The Personal Coupon Scanner holds up to 150 coupons at any one time. The shopper can dock their ‘Coupon Scanner’ at any one of three ‘touch points’ ….. their home PC, in-store kiosk or at the check out lane. ScanAps uploads all
coupons from the ‘Coupon Scanner’ to the shopper’s individual ‘ Promotion Coupon Bank’ account. After uploading the coupons to the Promotion Bank, ScanAps , and clears the memory in the Coupon Scanner. The Shopper can now scan another 150 coupons, if they choose to, and repeat the process. The Shoppers Promotion Coupon Bank holds unlimited coupons.
The shopper can see what coupons they have and print a list of coupons in their ‘Coupon Bank’ from their own personal computer at home or from the in-store kiosk positioned at every ScanAps enabled retailer.
The coupons in the ‘Coupon Bank’ will always be at the store and available for shoppers at all times. They don’t have to carry the coupons to the store anymore or go to a store and say, ‘oh, shoot’, I forgot to bring the coupons. They don’t have to worry about expiration dates. ScanAps takes care of the coupons for the shoppers and manages their ‘Coupon Bank’.
If a shopper has docked the Coupon Scanner at their home PC or in the store during their prior visit, they don’t even have to carry the Coupon Scanner to the store. They can access the coupons in their ‘ promotion coupon bank’ from the kiosk and from the check out lane just by using their loyalty card or other alternate ID’s used by the store.
At check out, ScanAps automatically redeems applicable coupons in their ‘ Promotion Coupon Bank’. ScanAps software validates every coupon prior to redemption in real time. ScanAps software matches every coupon to the customer who redeemed it, the specific product purchased with the coupon, and the related coupon redemption details. ScanAps takes care of the validation, redemption, electronic coupon clearing and reporting. It is a convenient and paperless coupon solution which increases efficiency for consumers, retailers and manufacturers.
